Ganymede is a metadirectory system, primarily intended for UNIX-like environments, but capable of being run with some effort on any server supporting Java 1.1.7 or better. Ganymede supports NIS, DNS, and other network information services, and allows many administrators to work together simultaneously to administer defined subsets of your network directory data. Any system capable of running Java applets with Swing can run the Ganymede client.

YASQL is an open source Oracle command line interface. It features a much kinder user interface than SQL*Plus (sqlplus). This is meant to be a complete replacement for SQL*Plus when dealing with ad hoc queries and general database interfacing. It adds features such as full ReadLine support for command history and tab completion, alternate output methods, table, list, CSV, redirection and piping of query results, query editing, scripting, and easy administrative data dictionary commands.

check_websites is a very simple virus scanner for Web sites. It checks a document root directory for files with the .js extension and for codewords which might be a hint of defacement or SQL injection. This tool is made to run as a cronjob. There's no output on the screen, but it generates a logfile and mails output.
