Government Sanctioned is a custom-developed text-based RPG (i.e., MUD). New players enter the world of Government Sanctioned as covert agents working for a super-secretive government organization colloquially known as "the agency". Players have a choice of six different roles spanning 19 unique professions. Whether you like stealthy, clandestine operations, the use of subterfuge and guile to infiltrate enemy organizations, or full-blown military actions, the agency has a spot for you. Players are empowered to deeply customize their character through numerous differentiation mechanisms. Character backgrounds lay the foundation for character abilities and are further defined through their cover occupation and agency department affiliation. To put a fine point on character customization, the skill and feat system provides an extensive array of options to tweak the character to suit your style of game play. The skill system boasts over 35 different skill families with around 50 different skills and checks. Skill points are gained upon professional level advancement and can be spent any way the player chooses. With 19 feat trees and over a hundred diverse feats (with new feats being added regularly), your capability for customization is endless.
D:GameVFS is a minimalist virtual filesystem library for the D programming language oriented at game developers. It provides an easy-to-use API for filesystem-independent file/directory manipulation. It supports basic VFS functionality. Files and directories can be created, read, and written, but not deleted. There are no security features (e.g., D:GameVFS can't handle a situation in which a file it's working with is deleted outside the program).
COMPO is a graphical design application for Ubuntu/Debian. It allows you to design and position graphical and text objects on defined areas of a larger page. You can use it to make business cards, labels, folded fliers, etc. Different compositions can be placed on different target areas of the same page, and non-grid layouts are supported.
The Open-Transactions project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, commercial-grade, fully-featured, free-software toolkit implementing a full-strength financial cryptography library, API, CLI, and prototype server. Open-Transactions democratizes financial and monetary actions. You can use it for issuing currencies/stock, paying dividends, creating asset accounts, sending/receiving digital cash, writing/depositing cheques, cashier's cheques, creating basket currencies, trading on markets, scripting custom agreements, recurring payments, escrow, etc. Strong crypto is used. Balances are unchangeable (even by a malicious server). Receipts are destructible and redundant. The transactions are unforgeable. The cash is untraceable. The cheques are non-repudiable.
BitHorde is a fast and lightwheight content distribution system, aimed for high-performance decentralized content distribution. Its key features are high performance, a light footprint, and live streaming. Potential applications range from content delivery networks, including HD streaming setups, to offline-caching filesystems, to file sharing, to distribution of in-game maps or textures.
Kotivox is a diary program, which organizes your entries by date. You can mark paragraphs by categories you created and later search within those categories. You can take notes and record your progress with Seinfeld's chains. Kotivox will encrypt and password-protect your data. It supports multiple users.
MiniD is a scripting language influenced by Lua, D, Io, Python, and other languages. It has a C-style syntax, is dynamically typed, and is designed to be easily embedded within and extended by a larger host application. It is written in (and is designed to be used from) the D programming language. It can also be used as a standalone language. Some external libraries are currently under development, including bindings to SDL, OpenGL, and libpcre.
Monster script (or just Monster) is an advanced scripting language made specifically for game development. The language features many new and powerful features, while still aiming first and foremost at increasing productivity and actual usability. The language is especially designed to facilitate game modding and user-generated content and scripts. It is highly object oriented, type safe, bytecode-compiled, and is easily embedded into existing game engines.
