The SMS Server Tools send and receive short messages through GSM modems or mobile phones. Messages are stored as text files in spool directories. External programs or scripts of any language can be used to filter, inspect, and answer messages automatically. Events and alarms can be passed to scripts for integration in monitoring tools. The program generates performance statistics as well.
