pfm is a terminal-based file manager written in Perl. All pfm commands can be invoked with one- or two-key commands. It features integration with version control systems, use of the ReadLine library for friendly command line editing, support for executing user-defined commands, colored filenames according to extension or type, a single-file and multiple-file mode, and bookmarks for directories.
selector is a command line utility for dynamic string selection. As you type a list of substrings separated by ";" or a regexp, the display is updated in real time to show only the matching lines. The main usage of selector is as an efficient search in the shell command history. With the correct option, it will inject the selected line into the terminal input buffer, allowing the user to edit the line and execute it as a standard command.
topvhost is a curses-based display of virtual host activity on a Web server. The display is created by monitoring a collection of server log files to show update time, update count, and selected fields from the last record of each file in a top-like presentation which can be sorted by last update time, update count, or domain name. Log file format and display columns are configured using an extension of the Apache LogFormat syntax. The collection of associations between domain name and log file is specified either by direct enumeration or a file system glob() pattern in those cases where the domain name is part of the log file path. These details are saved in an INI format configuration file in the user's home directory.
Whiteshoe is a text-based shooter game in which you explore a changing maze and complete your goals before the other players complete theirs or find you. It is based on the old game hunt, but was totally rewritten from scratch to use TCP packets and be more modular and expandable in design.
Chroma is an abstract puzzle game in which a variety of colorful shapes are arranged in a series of increasingly complex patterns, forming fiendish traps that must be disarmed and mysterious puzzles that must be manipulated in order to give up their subtle secrets. Initially, it is so straightforward that anyone can pick it up and begin to play, yet it gradually becomes difficult enough to tax even the brightest of minds. It features twenty-one levels, ranging from beginner to expert; infinite undo and redo capability, as well as replaying of solutions; a choice of smooth graphics or a minimal, text based version; and a level editor to allow you to design your own puzzles.
vitunes is a curses-based music player and playlist manager whose goals are a minimalistic appearance, strong vi-like bindings, and quick playlist creation/management. It does not strive to be a full-blown media player, but rather a full-blown media indexer and playlist manager. It uses MPlayer to support a wide range of media formats. It also makes use of TagLib for metadata extraction from many common formats.
