The Ruby Crypt library is a Ruby implementation of a number of popular encryption algorithms. Block cyphers currently available include Blowfish, GOST, IDEA, and Rijndael (AES). Cypher Block Chaining (CBC) has been implemented. Twofish, Serpent, and CAST256 are planned for release soon. It is written entirely in Ruby so deployment is simple: no platform concerns, no library dependencies, and nothing to compile.
FileCrypt enables strong security and authentication between servers. It allows IT Administrators to integrate automatic encryption and digital signing into almost any critical application. It fully supports the OpenPGP standard and is compatible with all PGP software. It also supports X.509 certificates and features a commandline interface, symmetric encryption, keyring management, creation of customizable key pairs, key revocation, key posting, file wiping, and many other useful features. An Additional Decryption Key is also supported to provide data recovery in the event of lost keys.
