Python OpenSSL Wrappers (POW) is an early release as it is now. The intention was to quickly cover the breadth of the OpenSSL library, then the depth of particular areas. Future releases will focus on bug fixes, and filling missing gaps in the API. The digests and ciphers should be adequate for most purposes as should the SSL wrappers. Although certificates and CRLs can be generated using this library, no extension support has been included in the current release.
Bugs Dynamic Cryptography is a private key cryptography algorithm. The package includes a C Library and many sample applications, including ones for file encryption, secure chatting, and login applications. The algorithm handles stream and block encryption, unlimited Keylength, and a strong key generator. Documentation and a developer HOWTO are included.
Perl Math::FastGF2 is a Perl math module for performing arithmetic on Galois Fields. Galois Fields have applications in Cryptography (such as the AES encryption system or various threshold systems for sharing secrets) and Error-correcting Codes (eg, Rabin's Information Dispersal Algorithm or Reed-Solomon Codes). It currently implements all the primitive maths operations needed to work with Galois Field polynomials. A set of demo scripts is included that implements Shamir's Secret Sharing algorithm using the module.
PGP Pipe allows encrypting a data stream of arbitrary length with the IDEA chipher from PGP. It is fast and usefull for secure backups on tapes or across the network. To prevent that this program is considered "strong cryptography", the encryption routines are NOT included, so you have to get the PGP source to compile it.
