PHP Video Toolbox is a PHP class that wraps around the FFmpeg, FLVTools2, and Mencoder programs to allow PHP developers to manipulate and convert video files in an easy-to-use object-oriented way. It also currently provides FFmpeg-PHP emulation in pure PHP, so you wouldn't need to compile and install the module. It isn't intended as a FFmpeg-PHP replacement, only an alternative solution. It is recommended that if you make heavy use of the FFmpeg-PHP functionality you should install the module, as it is more efficient.
dirogg is a small script to migrate your entire music collection to the Ogg Vorbis format. It's a recursive script, meaning that you run it from the root of your music collection, and it will automatically convert your MP3 files to Ogg Vorbis (ogg) files. If you wish, it can also remove your MP3 files after conversion.
Zak allows you to select one or more MP3 files and convert them into a single MP3, MP4, M4A, or M4B file. The primary use for Zak is audio books. Most audio books are distributed in several files, usually one per chapter. Converting these files into a single .m4b allows one to take advantage of the iPod's bookmarking features.
audio_combine is a simple utility for combining multiple audio files together into larger multi-channel files. For example, if you have 2 mono WAV files and you want a single stereo WAV file, you can use audio_combine to accomplish this. Also included is audio_split, which does the reverse operation: given a single multi-channel audio file, it generates multiple mono audio files.
Create-dvd is a wrapper that uses MPlayer to encode any given video into a DVD-compatible format. It then uses dvdauthor to create the structure of the DVD for burning to disc. It takes care of aspect ratio math, optionally increases volume, and changes frame rates with a few simple options.
gAny2DVD is a graphical application that can convert any of your video files supported by your installation of "mplayer" into MPEG2 format suitable for creating DVDs. A simple DVD authoring tool is included as well. You need to have mplayer, mencoder, and dvdauthor installed in order to run gAny2DVD.
The Epeios MIDI to XML converter makes it possible to convert binary MIDI files to a format that allows them to be handled effectively with tools like CVS. If you put, using your favorite MIDI sequencer, the CVS '$Id$' tag (or other CVS tags) in the comment tag of the MIDI file, the changes made to this tag by CVS are propagated into the MIDI file.
mkscreens.sh is a small wrapper script around MPlayer and ImageMagick to generate collated thumbnails (a.k.a. "screens") from video streams, similar to the feature found in Media Player Classic. It tries to fit the maximum number of thumbnails of a given pixel width into predefined compound image dimensions. It can handle every seekable video stream that MPlayer can handle (AVI, MPEG, MKV, etc.), including DVD images, in which case it processes the longest title.
