MiGBase64 is a very fast and small Base64 codec. It doesn't create temporary arrays as many others do, and is 7 to 100 times faster than Sun's built-in codec, and 2 to 5 times faster than the Commons base64 codec.

SubTimer is an easy-to-use subtitle editor based on SubStation Alpha, an abandoned freeware project for Windows. It features simple editing (cut, copy, paste, line split and merge, insert, and delete), time shifting for shifting a range of subtitles by a specified amount of time, timing based on an audio file (the audio wave is displayed on the screen, and the user can pick the start and end times by clicking on it), and UniCode support. It supports Substation Alpha (srt), SubRip (ssa), and plain text subtitle formats.

If you put, using your favorite MIDI sequencer, the CVS '$Id$' tag (or other CVS tags) in the comment tag of the MIDI file, the changes made to this tag by CVS are propagated into the MIDI file.

docx2txt is a tool that attempts to generate equivalent (ASCII) text files from Microsoft .docx documents, preserving some formatting and document information (which MS text conversion drops) along with appropriate character conversions for a good (ASCII) text experience. It is a platform independent solution consisting of (core) Perl and (wrapper) Unix/Windows shell scripts and a configuration file to control the output text appearance to fair extent. It can very conveniently be used to build a Web based docx document conversion service. Some Makefiles and Windows batch files are provided for easy installation of the scripts. With unzippers like CakeCmd that can deal with corrupt Zip archives, this tool can extract text from corrupt docx documents in many cases, where MS word processor fails to even open them.
