SILC (Secure Internet Live Conferencing) is a protocol which provides secure conferencing services in the Internet. It can be used to send any kind of messages, in addition to normal text messages. This includes multimedia messages like images, video, and audio stream. All messages in the SILC network are encrypted and authenticated, and messages can also be digitally signed. SILC protocol supports AES, SHA-1, PKCS#1, PKCS#3, X.509, OpenPGP, and is being developed in the IETF. The software is delivered as SILC Client for end users, SILC Server for system administrators, and SILC Toolkit for application developers.
oSIP implements the Session Initiation Protocol (published by IETF as RFC 3261). It can provide signalling capabilities for multimedia applications (IP phones, etc.). It provides a fully usable parser for the SIP syntax and implements the "transaction layer" as defined in the draft. It also provides an SDP parser and extra features for the User Agent. It can be used to build both proxy and IP phones.

sTeam provides a technical platform which allows groups of students, lecturers, and any other groups to construct and arrange their individual and cooperative learning and working space. It consists of an object-oriented server connected to a database, and Web, Java, and other (FTP, SMTP, IRC, etc.) clients. The server is event-driven and manages all user objects as well as the communication between the connected clients. Features that were different from most other cooperation tools is the self-organisation and self-administration by the members within the virtual environment.
