Dacco is a collaborative English-Catalan, Catalan-English dictionary project. It seeks to provide an up-to-date, comprehensive, bilingual dictionary that will be of benefit to learners of both languages. The dictionaries are downloadable and customizable (using XSLT) and contain audio files.
EZ Reusable Objects (EZRO) is a Web application that can be used by non-technical staff to manage content as "objects." Content objects containing text, video, and audio can be shared, modified, and re-styled to appear via a traditional Web site, an on-line course, an innovative "Coach," or as a community of interest site. It is highly scalable and can be used for public Web sites, secure environments, and private intra/extranets.
OpenCartable is an online tool for teachers and their students organized around textbooks and bibliographies of links to Web sites or uploaded files. The "todo" links (or resources) can be affected as works that the student answers and the teacher corrects and marks. The focus is on simplicity, with students only using three pages: their desk, textbooks, and works. Users are grouped in a school, and teachers manage their students through groups. The contents are written as standard DocBook files plus a LOM (Learning Object Metadata) schema that can be shared among OpenCartable servers using simple tools like rsync.
Foswiki is wiki software, supporting the editing of Web pages in an ordinary Web browser by end users. What makes Foswiki special is that it supports the embedding of active and passive macros that enhance the page content (e.g. with global or dynamic information) and allow end-users to build applications that store and process data in a structured manner.
