AUC (Authenticated User Community) is an intranet system designed for use in an educational organization but is also useful in many other settings. It offers the ability for users to have a uniform web-based interface to discussion forums, e-mail (similar to hotmail, etc.), file management, and a searchable user database. Also, "Interactive Classrooms" provide a means for students and teachers to have a web-based extension to their in-class interaction. The system runs from a C-based monolithic CGI script. MySQL is used for database storage. Also, the web-based mail client supports MIME parts/attachments, IMAP, mbox, and multiple mail folders.

jbofihe (or more correctly jbofi'e) is a parser for checking the grammatical correctness of Lojban text. It also provides approximate translations of Lojban into English. (Lojban is a constructed human language with the interesting property that its grammar can be cast into a form that Bison can parse.) The package includes cmafi'e (a smaller version without grammar checking), and a program to aid lujvo (compound word) construction.

It offers an underlying shared content pool from which instructors across departmental and institutional boundaries can assemble granular learning content for their courses. It has strong assessment capabilities, both formative (homework and in-class using wireless PDAs) and summative (online and bubblesheet exams), with a one-source multiple-target strategy for the content. It offers students portfolio space in which they can stage materials for submission to projects, and provides a number of tools for synchronous and asynchronous student-student and student-faculty communication.
