Markdown Doclet is a replacement for the standard Sun Java Doclet that allows developers to use Markdown syntax in their Javadoc comments rather than embedding unreadable HTML. The advantage of Markdown is that the syntax allows for HTML to be passed through, allowing the Markdown doclet to be applied to any existing codebase which may contain HTML Javadoc comments. It also includes a patched version of UMLGraph which calls the Markdown Doclet instead of the Sun standard doclet. The doclet also writes a more modern stylesheet for more attractive Javadocs.
Simulated annealing is a computational algorithm for optimization. It mimics the physical process of thermal annealing in which a metal is heated and then slowly cooled to settle into a highly ordered crystal structure. For common metals, the lowest energy state is already known. But the method is useful for other problems where the best state is not known and exhaustively searching all possible states is impractical. The method is applied by modeling the problem as a physical system with structure, energy, and temperature. This Python module implements simulated annealing so that it can be easily applied to a variety of problems. An example program is include to perform simulated annealing of the traveling salesman problem.

The JCGO translator uses some optimization algorithms that allow, together with optimizations performed by a C compiler, the resulting executable code to reach better performance compared with the traditional Java implementations (based on the Just-In-Time technology). The produced executable does not contain nor require a Java Virtual Machine to execute, so its resource requirements are smaller than that required by a typical Java VM. This also simplifies the process of deployment and distribution of an application.
Dextep Template Engine implements a template engine based on regular expression replacements. It can process a template with marks that define placeholders or sections using regular expressions to locate and replace those marks. Currently, it supports marks that define expressions, conditions, loops, and sub-templates files. The templates may compiled and cached to avoid processing the templates again in the future.

Metrix++ is a platform to collect and analyze code metrics. It has a plugin-based architecture, so it is easy to add support for new languages, define new metrics, and/or create new pre- and post-processing tools. Every metric has 'turn-on' and other configuration options. There are no predefined thresholds for metrics or rules; you can choose and configure any limit you want. It scales well to large codebases. For example, initial parsing of about 10000 files takes 2-3 minutes on an average PC, and only 10-20 seconds for iterative re-run. Reporting summary results and exceeded limits takes less than 1 - 10 seconds. It can compare results for 2 code snapshots (collections) and differentiate added regions (classes, functions, etc.), modified regions, and unchanged regions. As a result, easy deployment is guaranteed into legacy software, helping you to deal with legacy code efficiently, and either enforce the 'leave it not worse than it was before' rule or motivate re-factoring.
