Dexter is a tool that allows users to define extended attributes which can be associated with descriptors and editors. These attributes can be embedded into any well-formed XML document. The resulting embellished document, the 'source', is then input to the dexter engine. This will generate one or more XSLT stylesheets describing the input document interpolating editor modifications and any instructions specified by the descriptors. As dexter's operations are specified exclusively with extended attributes, all but the most unforgiving of XML content viewers will continue to see the decorated source exactly as the designer saw it before.
CGI::Application::Generator provides a means by which a CGI::Application-based module can be created from code, as opposed to being written by hand. This module is intended to create the shell of an application module, based on the specification you provide. It will not output a completely functional application without additional coding. It will, however, create the structural parts of your application common to all CGI::Application-based modules. This module is intended to ease the creation of new CGI::Application modules and to encourage standardization of CGI::Application coding styles.
SPOPS (Simple Perl Object Persistence w/ Security) is a robust and powerful Perl module that allows you to serialize objects. It is unique in that it also allows you to apply security to these objects using a fairly simple but powerful scheme of users and groups. It's also unique in that for most objects, you will not need to write any code. All you need is a fairly simple configuration file, and you can have a class for your object ready to go, right out of thin air.
Parse::Yapp provides a set of modules and a frontend to generate Perl OO LALR(1) parsers. It can input clean yacc or bison grammars. The generated parsers are fast, being based, like yacc, on building Deterministic Finite Automata (DFA) and moving through a set of states using Deterministic Push Down Automata (DPDA) derived from the DFA to match the input stream tokens.
