Fluffy Linux Cluster will create a "virtual IP address" shared between two or more machines on the same shared segment (i.e. LAN). TCP-based services running will be automatically load-balanced between the available machines. No dedicated "load balancer" is required, and failed nodes will be detected automatically and taken out of the cluster until they are fixed.

DIPC allows an application programmer to easily (transparently) send and receive data, synchronise using semaphores, and use a shared memory over a network. Distributed computing is thus made very easy. DIPC modifies System V's message queues, semaphores, and shared memory segments so that they can operate not just within a single computer, but over a cluster of computers. The programming model is very similar to that of a group of processes running on the same computer and exchanging data.

DynaStop is a utility to examine IPv4 based addresses for Exim and procmail for the purpose of filtering based upon patterns defined by the administrator. This can be a pivotal factor in email filtering and server load management, since dynamic IP addresses are typically used for dial-up, DHCP, and DSL accounts. All of which have a designated mail exchange server through which all outbound mail flows as defined with many, if not most, large Internet service providers.

The OpenLDAP Project is a collaborative effort to provide a robust, commercial-grade, fully featured, open source LDAP software suite. The project is managed by a worldwide community of volunteers that use the Internet to communicate, plan, and develop OpenLDAP Software and its related documentation. OpenLDAP Software provides a complete LDAP implementation including server, clients, C SDK, and associated tools.

The Kent Retargettable Occam Compiler is a multi-platform Occam 2.1 compiler that is designed to allow the Occam programming language to be used on non-Transputer platforms. Extensions from a subset of the Occam 3 specification and from pi calculus have been added over time. As a result, the version of the language supported by the compiler is also sometimes referred to as Occam 2.5 or Occam-pi.

m23 is a software deployment system for Debian GNU/Linux that allows you to install and administrate hundreds of clients via network. It can partition and format clients and install Debian, (K/X)Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, OpenSuse, and CentOS operating systems on your virtual and physical clients. Group functions allow the comfortable update and installation of further packages during operation. Mass installation functions simplify your administration chores. m23 has a Web interface. Backup functions are implemented for server and clients.

The Linux Replicated High Availability Manager (Linuxha.net) allows the creation of clusters for application high availability through data replication. Currently, clusters are limited to two nodes, but multiple applications can be hosted and failed-over between the nodes. The software uses DRBD to provide the data replication facillity.

Galera wsrep provider is a dlopenable generic replication library which implements the wsrep provider API. It provides very efficient synchronous replication, and multi-master and "parallel applying" capabilities for opaque data buffers. Its primary focus is data consistency. A transaction is either committed on every node, or not at all. It works anywhere TCP works, including on WAN, and can utilize UDP multicast where available. It is used by the MySQL-wsrep patch project to create true multi-master MySQL/InnoDB clusters.

Python bsddb3 is a Python module that provides a nearly complete wrapping of the Oracle/Sleepycat C API for the database environment, database, cursor, sequence, and transaction objects, and each of these is exposed as a Python type in the bsddb3.db module. The database objects can use various access methods: btree, hash, recno, and queue. It has complete support for Berkeley DB distributed transactions, and complete support for the Berkeley DB Replication Manager and base replication API. The goal is to mirror most of the real Berkeley DB API.
