Feedbackd is a client/server system that provides dynamic feedback of server load in a Linux Virtual Server (LVS)-based cluster. Monitor plugins are used to measure the health of each server, allowing a flexible way to report load back to the load balancer. It also facilitates the addition and removal of servers from the cluster.

Thinux is a thin-client server on a live CD. It boots a network of diskless computers to automatically start an application such as a Web browser. Each thin client machine acts as a cluster node to share its processing and memory resources with each other to take the load off the server. It is a turnkey solution that does not change nor rely on your existing systems to run. By booting from a removable CD, it does not lock-in the user so it is convenient to test. It is ideal for any organizations that require large deployment of software automatically and cost effectively.

m23 is a software deployment system for Debian GNU/Linux that allows you to install and administrate hundreds of clients via network. It can partition and format clients and install Debian, (K/X)Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, OpenSuse, and CentOS operating systems on your virtual and physical clients. Group functions allow the comfortable update and installation of further packages during operation. Mass installation functions simplify your administration chores. m23 has a Web interface. Backup functions are implemented for server and clients.

LAPACK is a linear algebra library, based on LINPACK and EISPACK, designed to provide routines for handling simultaneous equations and matrix algebra efficiently, particularly on shared memory vector processors, parallel processors, and clusters. The code is written in Fortran, and requires the BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms) library.

run_mpiblast makes running mpiBLAST on a cluster in the presence of other users, and queuing systems somewhat more robust. It allows users to catch errors in configuration well in advance of the actual execution, and allows them to submit the run to a queuing system.

Netplug is a Linux daemon that manages network interfaces in response to network cables being plugged in and out. If you're familiar with Windows XP, which just does the Right Thing when you plug an ethernet cable into a laptop, netplug will need no further explanation. Basically, netplug brings up an interface and runs a DHCP client when a cable is plugged into that interface, and it brings the interface down when the cable is unplugged. On a typical Linux system or laptop, you have to run a command (such as "/sbin/ifup") manually to handle these events, but netplug automates this for you.

Cluster SSH opens terminal windows with connections to specified hosts and an administration console. Any text typed into the administration console is replicated to all other connected and active windows. This tool is intended for, but not limited to, cluster administration where the same configuration or commands must be run on each node within the cluster. Performing these commands all at once via this tool ensures all nodes are kept in sync.

XPVM provides a graphical interface to the PVM console commands and information, along with several animated views to monitor the execution of PVM programs. These views provide information about the interactions among tasks in a parallel PVM program, to assist in debugging and performance tuning. It also provides some simple debugging assistance by listing textual details from trace events and remote task output. Each trace event corresponds to the entry or exit point of a PVM routine, and contains the calling parameters and return codes / results. The task output is automatically collected from tasks spawned.

The Parallel Genetic Algorithm Library (PGAL, pronounced "Piggle") is a C++ toolkit for simply, efficiently, and swiftly producing genetic algorithm code that works across multiple processors. This is useful not only for those with multi-processor computers, but also for distributed and cluster computing genetic algorithm environments such as openMosix.
