Galet is a peer-to-peer application which primarily aims to provide easy-to-setup, secure communication channels between the computers of people who know and trust each other. Its secondary goal is to create a public network based on these channels. No direct connections occur between two nodes that have not been explicitly accepted by the users of these nodes. This makes the network very difficult to censor, as an attacker's direct access to the network is limited.
Grochat is a simple Web chat system using PHP and Ajax. It offers a lightweight solution to webmasters who want to install a Web-based chat system without having to set up or customize a database for it. A logout and "noop" system automatically keep the user's session up while the chat window is open, even if they are not typing anything into the chat. Public and private messaging. A private file send and receive system with file pooling server side. Works on IE and Firefox. An "on the fly" customisable layout. Multi-language and multi-skin support.
MSNgrep is a script to capture MSN Messenger conversations. It uses pylibpcap to sort through MSN's jumble of packets for instant messages, a few status messages, and TypingUser notifications. Using these, it builds up a database of email addresses to MSN server addresses, and local IP addresses. This lets it match up an instant message to the sender's email address, and the receiver's email address.
