Tsung (formerly known as IDX-Tsunami) is a distributed load testing tool. It is protocol-independent and can currently be used to stress HTTP, WebDAV, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LDAP, and XMPP/Jabber servers. It simulates user behavior using an XML description file, reports many measurements in real time (statistics can be customized with transactions, and graphics generated using gnuplot). For HTTP, it supports 1.0 and 1.1, has a proxy mode to record sessions, supports GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE methods, Cookies, and Basic WWW-authentication. It also has support for SSL.
alph implements and analyzes historical and traditional ciphers and codes, such as polyalphabetic, substitutional, and mixed employing human-reconstructable algorithms. It provides a pipe filter interface in order to encrypt and decrypt block text to achieve transparency. The program is meant to be used in conjunction with external programs that transfer data, resulting in transparent encryption or decryption of information. The program can thus be used as a mail filter, IRC filter, IM filter, and so on.
MOHA Chat is a chat solution which comes with a intuitive Web client and can run on most shared hosts. MOHA Chat consumes fewer resources on the server side and is fast on the client side. It uses AJAX to retrieve the chat messages and user status. The client polls the server at regular intervals. It currently supports only one-to-one chatting with the Web client. The Web client encrypts messages using a key unique to the client when sending a message to the server and vice versa.

sTeam provides a technical platform which allows groups of students, lecturers, and any other groups to construct and arrange their individual and cooperative learning and working space. It consists of an object-oriented server connected to a database, and Web, Java, and other (FTP, SMTP, IRC, etc.) clients. The server is event-driven and manages all user objects as well as the communication between the connected clients. Features that were different from most other cooperation tools is the self-organisation and self-administration by the members within the virtual environment.
cerberus is a modular and robust network operator and drone monitoring service designed to protect IRC networks from common threats that plague the community. It uses a BIND9-style configuration file with a mix of Perl syntax. It includes a map module that displays a server map along with basic information, stats/protocol for core protocol support, sql, an interface to DBI, modcontrol for controlling modules in use via IRC, login, operlist for displaying a list of all operators on the network, and more. It was designed for use with pure TS6 networks such as ircd-ratbox and ircd-hybrid.
