cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs/DVDs with a CDR/CDRW/DVD/BluRay recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD/DVD/BD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives; audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs; full multi-session support; CD-RWs, DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, BD-R/BD-RE; and TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD/DVD/BD writers.
FireBurner (FB) is a compact yet full-featured CD-R/W burning software package. It runs on both Linux and Windows (using Kylix on Linux and Delphi 6 on Windows). It allows users to easily burn custom data, audio, or mixed mode CDs. Its unique multi-threaded cache and design allows users to burn at high speeds with little chance of buffer underrun. It supports Bin/Cue, WAV, PCM, and ISO image file formats.
This library implements a general-purpose encoder/decoder for Reed-Solomon error correcting codes. The decoder supports erasures. The user can specify the parameters for any size code, limited only by machine resources. Hard-coded routines for the CCSDS-standard (255,223) code are also included.
CD Stack is an advanced CD ripping and encoding application. It features shortcuts for when you have a large number of discs to rip and allows precise control over MP3 encoding. It can optionally import songs into iTunes, complete with track information and cover art. It uses the LAME Encoder to encode MP3s. A Universal binary is available.
Rippix is a fork of ripperX, a fast and easy to use CD ripper. While ripperX does a good job of ripping and encoding songs from a CD, it uses a rather outdated user interface. Rippix tries to fill this gap. This includes porting Rippix to GTK+ 3. Additionally, a lot of deprecated code will be rewritten and documentation will be added. The reason for a fork is that after some hacking on the ripperX code, it appeared that more modifications were necessary in order to port to GTK+ 3 conveniently than what could be appreciable by ripperX devs, like removing all the XPM images (including the logo) from the UI.
You are captain of the cargo ship Chromium B.S.U., responsible for delivering supplies to our troops on the front line. Your ship has a small fleet of robotic fighters which you control from the relative safety of the Chromium vessel. Chromium B.S.U. is a fast paced, arcade-style, top-scrolling shooter. It uses OpenGL for graphics, OpenAL/SDL_mixer for sound effects, GLC/FTGL for text rendering, and glpng/SDL_image for texture loading.
MoreAmp is an audio player, transcoder, and CD ripper for Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Windows, Unix, and Linux. It plays and creates ogg, flac, mp3, aac, m4a, mp4, wav, and aif files, and plays wma files. It features a 31-band equalizer, repeat loop, variable pitch/tempo, ram or ramdisk preload, and more.
