The SeaMonkey project is a community effort to develop an all-in-one Internet application suite. It contains an Internet browser, email and newsgroup client with an included Web feed reader, HTML editor, IRC chat, and Web development tools, and is sure to appeal to advanced users, Web developers, and corporate users. It uses much of the Mozilla source code powering such successful siblings as Firefox, Thunderbird, Camino, Sunbird, and Miro.
Drivel is a GNOME client for working with online journals, also known as weblogs or simply blogs. It retains a simple and elegant design while providing many powerful features, including support for LiveJournal, Blogger, MovableType, Advogato, and Atom journals. Mixxx is software for DJs that provides everything needed to create live mixes. It allows you to beatmatch songs and crossfade them together, like you would with turntables and a mixer. It runs without any extra hardware, and offers a wide range of advanced features including comprehensive MIDI controller and vinyl control support. To obtain the lowest latency and highest responsiveness, it uses hardware video acceleration and takes advantage of multi-core CPUs.
aria2 is a utility for downloading files. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink. It has a powerful segmented downloading ability, downloading a file from multiple sources and multiple protocols and utilizing your download bandwidth to the maximum. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.
FusionForge is a collaborative development environment that gathers in one single place several tools useful for development teams: communication tools (forums, mailing-lists, news, etc.); development tools (bug/patch trackers, project management, source control systems, etc.); and community tools (file releases, software categorization, Web site hosting, etc.). It is the continuation of the free software version of GForge, based on the codebase that was maintained in parallel to the proprietary GForge AS version.
