EXIP provides a C library for the parsing and serialization of Efficient XML Interchange (EXI) format streams. The focus is portability and efficiency for embedded systems development. The project was started at the EISLAB research group in the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering, Luleå University of Technology, and is part of research efforts to bring resource-constrained embedded devices, such as wireless sensor nodes, closer to the enterprise business processes taking place in processing, manufacturing, and communication industries.
pg_xnode is an extension (module) which adds several data types to the PostgreSQL database server, allowing it to store XML documents, XML (tree) nodes, and XPath expressions. Unlike the in-core implementation of XML, pg_xnode does not require repeated parsing of XML data, and thus should be more efficient. In addition, the extension has functions to add/remove nodes to/from existing XML documents, and templates to create XML documents from tables.
Wisecracker is a high performance distributed cryptanalysis framework that leverages GPUs and multiple CPUs. It allows security researchers to write their own cryptanalysis tools that can distribute brute-force cryptanalysis work across multiple systems with multiple multi-core processors and GPUs. Security researchers can also use the sample tools provided out-of-the-box. The differentiating aspect of Wisecracker is that it uses OpenCL and MPI together to distribute the work across multiple systems, each having multiple CPUs and/or GPUs.
utfout is a command-line tool that can produce UTF-8 (Unicode) strings in various ways and direct them to standard output, standard error, or direct to the terminal without the need for shell support. Strings can be repeated, delayed, randomly-generated, written to arbitrary file descriptors, interspersed with other characters, and generated using ranges. printf(1)-style escape sequences are supported along with extended escape sequences. utfout(1) sits somewhere between echo(1) and printf(1).
