GlusterFS is a clustered filesystem capable of scaling to several petabytes. It aggregates various storage bricks over Infiniband RDMA or TCP/IP interconnect into one large parallel network file system. GlusterFS is based on a stackable user space design without compromising performance. It allows access via Swift API, SMB, NFSv3, QEMU/KVM, OpenStack Compute, OpenStack Block Storage, Xen, CloudStack, HDFS API, oVirt, and more, all in a unified backend which enables multiple, simultaneous access points to the same data stores.
RipTcl is a front-end to various programs that rips audio CDs and encodes/transcodes to FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, MP3, WAV, or AAC under Linux. It provides extended meta tagging features, detects and saves files to USB storage players, burns CDs in DAO mode, plays audio, and supports freedb.
Malheur is a tool for the automatic analysis of malware behavior (program behavior recorded from malicious software in a sandbox environment). It is designed to support the regular analysis of malicious software and the development of detection and defense measures. It allows for identifying novel classes of malware with similar behavior and assigning unknown malware to discovered classes. It can be applied to recorded program behavior of various formats as long as monitored events are separated by delimiter symbols, e.g. as in reports generated by the popular malware sandboxes CWSandbox, Anubis, Norman Sandbox, and Joebox.
httpico is yet another lightweight HTTP server. It implements a few HTML rewriting rules delineated by '<?pico>' tags, and makes it fairly easy to add more straight into the C code. It does not have complete HTTP standards compliance. It also contains a 'genstats' log analysis tool.
DeTraS provides several tools to track development activities by registering applications that developers use on an X11 session. It also allows you to send collected data to a server and takes care about your privacy. The idea behind DeTraS is taken from Timeline, a shell script written by Nat Friedman.
VPPPN stands for virtual peer-to-peer private networking. The project provides a VPN client using a custom protocol to be able to set up a point-to-point dynamic virtual network. This differs from OpenVPN in that it does not need a central server to pass the network's traffic. A central server exists to allocate IP addresses and provide a point of contact for the clients, but once connections are established, these services are no longer needed. This means that a VPPN network is free (as in beer), since to set up a network you do not need to invest in an always-on Internet server. Once established, a VPPPN network behaves in a similar way to a normal IP network. To the end user, this means you can set up an office network and drag and drop files between computers in a secure manner over the Internet.
