omnisode generates a Ruby program to use long Taylor series to solve systems of ordinary differential equations. It generates code to solve the equations in either Maple or Maxima. Using the Taylor series, estimates are made of the location and order of poles. It has been greatly re-worked the last few years, and tested quite a bit recently. Support may be extended to other languages in the future.

Catdoc is a MS Word file decoding tool that doesn't attempt to analyze file formatting (it just extracts readable text), but is able to handle all versions of Word and convert character encodings. radare2 aims to create a complete, portable, multi-architecture, Unix-like toolchain for reverse engineering. It is composed of a hexadecimal editor (radare) with a wrapped I/O layer supporting multiple backends for local/remote files, debugger (OS X, BSD, Linux, W32), stream analyzer, assembler/disassembler (rasm) for x86, ARM, PPC, m68k, Java, MSIL, and SPARC, code analysis modules, and scripting facilities. It also has a bindiffer named radiff, base converter (rax), a shellcode development helper (rasc), a binary information extractor supporting PE, Mach0, ELF, class, etc. named rabin, and a block-based hash utility called rahash. Radare was rewritten as radare2, and the old version is only maintained for bugfixes.

libjpeg-turbo is a high-speed version of libjpeg for x86 and x86-64 processors. It uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE, SSE2) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression. libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-4 times as fast as the unmodified version of libjpeg. It also includes a wrapper library for the TurboJPEG API used by VirtualGL and TurboVNC. It was originally based on libjpeg/SIMD but has improved support for Mac OS X, 64-bit platforms, 32-bit and big endian pixel formats (RGBA/BGRA/ABGR/ARGB), accelerated Huffman encoding/decoding, and various other fixes.

mod_pLua is an Apache HTTP Server 2.x module for developing Web applications with Lua. With mod_pLua, you can use Lua for scripting in two distinct ways; Embedded Lua scripting, <?lua print("Hello, world!") ?>, or plain Lua scripting with a CGI-style interface. mod_pLua precompiles all scripts and caches the compiled binary code so that each new call to the same file will be lightning fast, allowing you to serve hundreds of thousands of requests per minute on any modern server. Mod_pLua supports both the traditional Lua interpreter as well as LuaJIT for both Windows and UNIX platforms. If your Web server supports it, mod_pLua also utilizes APR_DBD and mod_dbd to handle persistent database connections through the dbopen() Lua function.
