trx is a toolset for broadcasting live audio from Linux. It sends and receives encoded audio over IP networks, via a soundcard or audio interface, and can be used for point-to-point audio links or multicast (e.g., private transmitter links or audio distribution). High-quality wideband audio (such as music) can be sent with low latency and fast recovery from dropouts.
libxmp is a module player library which supports many mainstream and obscure module formats, including Protracker MOD, Scream Tracker III S3M, and Impulse Tracker IT. MrsWatson is a commandline audio plugin host. It takes one or more plugins, sends an audio signal to them for processing, and saves the resulting output. Although the plugins think they are running in realtime, processing is actually done offline (this is not the same as the "offline" processing in VST terminology). This makes MrsWatson ideal for developing or debugging plugins, or processing audio on a server.
