iCommune is an application that extends Apple's iTunes to share music over the network. It allows you to share the music in your iTunes library and access other iCommune music collections. iCommune music collections appear as playlists in your iTunes window. You can browse through them, and choose to stream or download the music they contain.
iTunes Export provides the ability to export iTunes Playlists to the standard .m3u file format. Unfortunately, this feature is not included in the iTunes application and is extremely useful for users who wish to use iTunes with other applications or devices. iTunes Export is written in C# (.Net). iTunes Export provides a Command Line version (tested on Mono) and a GUI version, as well as a library that developers can use in their own applications.
Fuse Media Centre is a full featured media application. It supports audio and video files, radio streams, RSS feeds, and Podcasts. It also has a robust media library making use of many Web services such as retrieval of data from LyricWiki.org and Last.fm, as well as an extensive RSS news section displayed in a newspaper fashion for optimal reading. Fuse Media Centre can use any media engine as the backend but currently only supports GStreamer.
MobileMpd.Net is a small program that can be used to control a MPD (Music Player Daemon) server using a WiFi enabled Windows Mobile device. The software supports the start, stop, next, prev, repeat, and random functions, volume control, playlist addition and removal, and a music directory treeview.
