RecDB is a recommendation engine built entirely inside PostgreSQL 9.2. It allows application developers to build recommendation applications using a wide variety of built-in recommendation algorithms such as user-user collaborative filtering, item-item collaborative filtering, and singular value decomposition. Applications powered by RecDB can produce online and flexible personalized recommendations to end-users. It is easily used and configured and allows novice developers to define a variety of recommenders that fits their application's needs in few lines of SQL. It can seamlessly integrate recommendation functionality with traditional database operations.
InfiniSQL is a distributed in-memory NewSQL relational database management system (RDBMS). It excels at performing complex transactions which involve records on multiple server nodes. It is engineered around the actor model of concurrent programming, which enables unique scalability capabilities.
libguestfs is a set of tools for accessing and modifying virtual machine (VM) disk images. You can use this for viewing and editing files inside guests, scripting changes to VMs, monitoring disk used/free statistics, P2V, V2V, performing partial backups, cloning VMs, and much more. libguestfs can access nearly any type of filesystem including: all known types of Linux filesystem (ext2/3/4, XFS, btrfs, etc.), any Windows filesystem (VFAT and NTFS), any Mac OS X and BSD filesystems, LVM2 volumes, MBR and GPT disk partitions, raw disks, qcow2, CD and DVD ISO images, SD cards, and dozens more. libguestfs doesn't need root permissions.
The Courier mail transfer agent (MTA) is an integrated mail/groupware server based on open commodity protocols such as ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, SSL, and HTTP. Courier provides ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, Webmail, and mailing list services within a single consistent framework. Individual components can be enabled or disabled at will. Courier implements basic Web-based calendaring and scheduling services integrated in the Webmail module.
Ecasound is a software package designed for multitrack audio processing. It can be used for simple tasks like audio playback, recording, and format conversions, as well as for multitrack effect processing, mixing, recording and signal recycling. It supports a wide range of audio inputs, outputs, and effect algorithms. Effects and audio objects can be combined in various ways, and their parameters can be controlled by operator objects like oscillators and MIDI-CCs. A versatile console-mode user interface is included in the package.
Triceps is an innovative embeddable Complex Event Processing (CEP) system. It can be thought of as an in-memory database driven by triggers, or a data-flow machine working on a stream of events, or a spreadsheet on steroids. The major architectural advantages of Triceps include the direct use of procedural logic (as opposed to all-SQL systems), support of both compiled and general scripting languages (C++, Perl), light weight, and easy extensibility.
Pandora FMS is a software-monitoring tool which has been created for all kinds of companies. It is specially designed for large environments and works by first managing servers, applications, and communications, and then notifying clients of problems and failures before they occur. Pandora FMS also includes a configurable report system which evaluates and notifies the client on the level of fulfilment and compliance of their systems. It supports all kinds of technologies unifying the management tools of your system, such as performance monitoring, network monitoring, and availability management. Pandora FMS makes your company management more agile and improves your process performance.
LibBi is used for state-space modelling and Bayesian inference on high-performance computer hardware, including multi-core CPUs, many-core GPUs (graphics processing units), and distributed-memory clusters. The staple methods of LibBi are based on sequential Monte Carlo (SMC), also known as particle filtering. These methods include particle Markov chain Monte Carlo (PMCMC) and SMC2. Other methods include the extended Kalman filter and some parameter optimization routines. LibBi consists of a C++ template library and a parser and compiler, written in Perl, for its own modelling language.
