LE has many block operations with stream and rectangular blocks, can edit both unix and dos style files (LF/CRLF), is binary clean, has hex mode, can edit text with multi-byte character encoding, has full undo/redo, can edit files and mmap-able devices in mmap shared mode (only replace), has tunable syntax highlighting, tunable color scheme (can use default colors), tunable key map. It is slightly similar to Norton Editor, but has more features.

GenScriber is a transcription editor for census records, church records, birth, marriage ,baptisms, burials, index records, etc. Data can be entered in a spreadsheet grid, or a word processor text editor. Both types of input provide stable, non-volatile editors, designed for genealogical data input. All cell inputs are alphanumeric. No assumptions are made about the data type. Dates and values remain exactly as you entered them. The worksheet and text pad work independently. They can be used to edit different data by switching between the tabs. It is of course possibly to copy/paste data between the editors.
libpetey is a small scientific/numerical computation library. It includes the following components: templated sorting routines; templated binary tree classes; a templated linked-list class; routines for finding the k-least and k-greatest elements in an array; "supernewton", a one-dimensional root-finding algorithm based on cubic interpolation; a class for working with dates and times; a function for easy parsing of command line options; datasets (the beginnings of a data-representation paradigm that generalizes matrices but is mainly useful for n-dimensional linear interpolation); and sparse matrix library including command-line utilities for sparse matrix multiplication and eigenvalue decomposition as well as a sparse matrix calculator.
libagf is a library of variable-bandwidth kernel estimators for statistical classification, PDF estimation, and interpolation/non-linear regression using both Gaussian kernels and k-nearest-neighbours. Statistical classification allows the use of a pre-trained model for considerable speed gains. There are also clustering algorithms. It includes command line executables as well as easy-to-use libraries.
libdwarf reads and/or writes DWARF debugging information in Elf object files. dwarfdump uses libdwarf to read object files and print the DWARF content in a readable fashion. libdwarf implements the DWARF2 (and later) standard by providing function interfaces that abstract away many DWARF implementation details (the writer code only emits DWARF2 so far). The source also includes implementations of a few tree search (tsearch) algorithms (balanced, red-black, and binary).
