HATop is an interactive ncurses client and real-time monitoring and statistics displaying tool for the HAProxy TCP/HTTP load balancer. HATop's appearance is similar to top(1). It supports various modes for detailed statistics of all configured proxies and services in near real-time. In addition, it features an interactive CLI for the HAProxy Unix socket. This allows administrators to control the given HAProxy instance (change server weight, put servers into maintenance mode, etc.) directly out of HATop (using keybinds or the CLI) and monitor the results immediately.
Zibu is a small tool that allows you to cyclically compare access permissions and checksums of files provided by users, with a database generated at first run (to be exact, generated with --init or --update mode). CTL is a cross-platform control dispatching tool that makes it easy to automate any kind of distributed systems management or application provisioning task. Rather than writing complex and error-prone scripts that over utilize "for loops", CTL handles the network dispatching for you and allows you to focus on the actual management tasks you need to accomplish. In addition to being a dispatching tool, CTL comes with pre-built cross-platform utilities so you don't have to script actions like file distribution or process and port checking. You can also write your own custom utilities and share them with others in your organization. Custom utilities are defined in XML, and your scripting can be done in multiple scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.), *nix shell, Windows batch, and/or Ant.
Augeas is a configuration API and editing tool. It parses common configuration files like /etc/hosts or /etc/grub.conf in their native formats and transforms them into a tree. Configuration changes are made by manipulating this tree and saving it back into native configuration files.
httpry is a specialized packet sniffer designed for displaying and logging HTTP traffic. It is not intended to perform analysis itself, but instead to capture, parse, and log the traffic for later analysis. It can be run in real-time displaying the live traffic on the wire, or as a daemon process that logs to an output file. It is written to be as lightweight and flexible as possible, so that it can be easily adaptable to different applications. It does not display the raw HTTP data transferred, but instead focuses on parsing and displaying the request/response line along with associated header fields.
Vidrate is a tool for allowing multiple people to vote which video files of a database should be kept. This tool can help you to quickly free some space on your file server without specifically asking all the server's users which movies should be kept. The interface also allows you to mark videos as seen and to assign comments. Included is a cron job that periodically scans the video directory for new or deleted videos and also deletes videos that have the required number of votes.
