mysqlblasy is a Perl script for automating MySQL database backups. It uses "mysqldump" for dumping mysql databases to the files sytem. It was written with automated usage in mind. NXWidgets is a graphical user interface package for the NuttX RTOS. It integrates seamlessly with the NuttX NX graphics subsystem in order to provide graphic objects, or "widgets". It is written entirely in C++ using only selected "embedded friendly" C++ constructs which are fully supported under NuttX. No additional C++ support libraries are required. It is tailored for use with MCUs in embedded applications. It is ideally suited for the mid-to-upper range of most MCU families. It will work on high-end frame buffer devices as well as on LCDs connected via serial or parallel ports to a small MCU. It will accept position and selection inputs from a mouse or a touchscreen. It will also support character input from a keyboard such as a USB keyboard. It supports a special widget called CKeypad which provides keyboard input via an on-screen keypad which can be operated via a mouse or touchscreen inputs. Some of the graphic objects supported by NXWidgets include labels, buttons, text boxes, button arrays, check boxes, cycle buttons, images, sliders, scrollable list boxes, and progress bars.
sqlpp11 is an embedded domain-specific language which allows programming SQL very naturally in modern C++. It also enables the compiler to detect syntax errors, type errors, name errors, and even some semantic errors before they ever hit unit tests or production. Queries can be constructed at compile time or run time, offering varying levels of safety and flexibility.
i3 is a dynamic tiling window manager. Its key features are correct implementation of Xinerama (workspaces are assigned to virtual screens, and it does the right thing when attaching new monitors) and XrandR support (which is still unfinished). Both horizontal and vertical columns can be used in tiling. There is a special focus is on writing clean, readable, and well documented code. i3 uses xcb for asynchronous communication with X11, and has several measures to be very fast. i3 is primarily targeted at advanced users and developers.
Dynace is a portable extension to the C language which adds object-oriented facilities, including classes with multiple-inheritance, a meta-object protocol, dynamic dispatching via generic functions, a garbage collector, threads, and an extensive class library, including an optional GUI library. It has complete documentation and a tutorial.
