Pyrseas provides a framework and utilities to upgrade and maintain a relational database. It currently includes the dbtoyaml utility to create a YAML description of a PostgreSQL database's tables, and the yamltodb utility to generate SQL statements to modify a database to match an input YAML specification. It also aims to develop data administration tools to supplement an agile database development process.
The klish is a framework for implementing Cisco-like command-line interfaces on Unix systems. It is configurable through XML files. "Klish" stands for "Kommand Line Interface SHell". The klish is a fork of clish-0.7.3. The original clish was developed by Graeme McKerrell. The klish adds some new features, but is compatible (as much as possible) with clish's XML configuration files.
Python bsddb3 is a Python module that provides a nearly complete wrapping of the Oracle/Sleepycat C API for the database environment, database, cursor, sequence, and transaction objects, and each of these is exposed as a Python type in the bsddb3.db module. The database objects can use various access methods: btree, hash, recno, and queue. It has complete support for Berkeley DB distributed transactions, and complete support for the Berkeley DB Replication Manager and base replication API. The goal is to mirror most of the real Berkeley DB API.
Theano is a Python library that allows you to define, optimize, and evaluate mathematical expressions involving multi-dimensional arrays efficiently. Theano features tight integration with numpy, transparent use of a GPU, efficient symbolic differentiation, speed and stability optimizations, dynamic C code generation, and extensive unit-testing and self-verification. Theano has been powering large-scale computationally intensive scientific investigations since 2007. But it is also approachable enough to be used in the classroom (IFT6266 at the University of Montreal).
V6 Thompson Shell Port provides two ports of the original /bin/sh from Sixth Edition (V6) UNIX (circa 1975). osh is an enhanced port of the shell, and sh6 is an unenhanced port of the shell. This project also includes glob6, if, goto, and fd2 as external shell utilities. While they remain external for compatible use by sh6, these utilities are integrated into osh to improve shell performance.
irked is an IRC client that runs as a daemon accepting notification requests as JSON objects presented to a listening socket. It is meant to be used by hook scripts in version-control repositories, allowing them to send commit notifications to project IRC channels. A hook script that works with git, hg, and svn is included in the distribution.
vcprompt prints a short string, to be included in your shell prompt, with barebones information about the current working directory for various version control systems. It is designed to be small and lightweight rather than comprehensive. It has varying degrees of recognition for Mercurial, Git, Subversion, CVS, and Fossil working copies.
Red language is a native-code compiled functional, imperative, symbolic, and homoiconic programming language that re-uses most of REBOL's syntax and semantics. Both static and JIT compilation support are planned. A strong emphasis is made on concurrency and both task and data parallelism support using an actor-like abstraction and parallel collections (Scala-like). The target range of usage spreads from low-level system programming (thanks to the built-in Red/System C-level DSL) and embedded systems, up to high-level scripting, with an optional REPL console.
