PHP HTTP protocol client is a PHP class for making HTTP requests. It can establish connections via SOCKS or proxy servers and establish secure connections (HTTPS) with optional SSL client certificates. It supports HTTP Basic, HTTP Digest, and NTLM (Windows or Samba) authentication mechanisms. It submits POST requests with user-defined form values, file uploading, or with user-defined request bodies. It handles cookies and automatic redirection handling. There is an addon class that logs in to Yahoo! and executes actions on behalf of the user, like exporting the address book or sending invitations to Yahoo! groups.
Postgresql AutoDoc has the ability to output XML, which can be loaded into Dia to create a UML diagram of the database (complete with table relations and descriptive information), an HTML form for further detailed information, GraphViz .dot output, and Docbook 4.1 style SGML for inclusion with project documentation as an appendix. It works on any 7.x PostgreSQL-based database.
Heirloom mailx (formerly known as "nail") is derived from Berkeley Mail and provides the functionality of the System V and POSIX mailx commands. Additional features include support for MIME, IMAP (including caching and disconnected use), POP3, SMTP, S/MIME, international character sets, maildir folders, message threading, powerful search methods, scoring, and a Bayesian junk mail filter. Mailx can be used as a mail batch language in nearly the same way as it is used interactively. It can thus act as a mailbox filter, can fetch mail from remote accounts, and can send files as attachments.
The OpenBSD project produces a free, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. Its goals emphasize portability, standardization, correctness, proactive security, and integrated cryptography. OpenBSD supports binary emulation of most programs from SVR4 (Solaris), FreeBSD, Linux, BSD/OS, SunOS, and HP-UX.
SaVi is satellite visualization software that lets you create, run, examine, and modify satellite orbits in two and three dimensions. Simulations of Iridium, Globalstar, Galileo, GPS, and other satellite constellations are included. SaVi requires Tcl and Tk on a system with Unix libraries. SaVi works well with the 3D renderer Geomview. Geomview is optional, though recommended for its 3D rendering capabilities.
