NetCrawler is the frontend to a Web crawling system. This command line application will download all of the pages within a domain, and then parse and process all of the relative content (Images, Text, Audio, Video), saving this content within an XML document for later processing. It is definitely alpha quality, but has been used quite extensively.
rc.firewall is configurable for dialup and static IP addresses. It is based on Linux-kernel 2.4.x, and it generates it's own configuration file. It supports specific port filtering for the internet- , intranet-, and a dmz-zone. For the DMZ-Zone, there is also a machine-specific port filtering, and redirection of specific ports of the internet-interface available. Note: Do not install this in productive environments, until you have checked the rules/tables with your own eyes.
The Xmt Library provides nine custom widgets and over 260 convenience functions designed to make Motif user interface development easier for beginning and advanced programmers. It provides an alternative tool chain that avoids the use of GUI builders. The essence of this approach is to program from the resources file using an extended vocabulary for automatic creation of the widget hierarchy, dynamic layout, and to provide a rapid prototype environment.
OzVM (Virtual Machine Project) is a simple, lightweight, secure virtual machine. The current target application of OzVM is OzStream, which allows platform independent self-decoding of data. The vision of OzStream is to make any and all compressed media self-extracting. OzStream abstracts compressed media from client applications, providing new freedom for users, developers, and compression techniques.
R-AddressBook is a Java address book which stores its data in XML format. It can be run on virtually any computer (including PDAs) and offers local and global address information storage, WebServices based synchronization, off- and on-line operation, no restriction on the type or number of fields for each entry, and automatic address updates.
