RSS Writer Class is a PHP class that can generate RSS (Rich/RDF Site Summary) XML documents. It extends the XML Writer class to generate XML-RSS documents. It features simplified definitions of channel and item properties, support for defining optional channel graphic images and search form text inputs, support for RSS specification versions 0.9, 0.91, 1.0, and 2.0, support for using namespace modules to extend the document property set, and an optional XSL stylesheet example to automatically view RSS documents as HTML pages in XML capable browsers.
Java+ is a Java preprocessor that adds its features to any Java compiler. It has long, multi-line strings with executable inclusions like Perl or Ruby, optionally segregates Java+ strings into ResourceBundle files, eliminates the need for JSP or ASP and their implied need for Java compilers on deployment servers (a security concern), and adds absolutely no overhead in either space or time. There are graphical and command line interfaces, and a simple, general, and recursive string syntax.
The Portal Foundation Classes is a J2EE 1.3 library for developing highly interactive portal applications. It builds on the same concepts as Swing but takes the unique nature of request/response into account, in contrast to similar libraries. Using this library, the developer can focus on creating valuable interfaces without spending too much time on fundamental functionalities like rendering, layout, or validation.
Phpcron is a PHP command line program, which allows you to execute programs and system commands at certain scheduled times. It operates in a similar fashion to Unix's Crond daemon, and can be used in place of, or as a complement to crond. It allows a host of options, including logging, and email features. The Phpcron package includes Phpcron Admin, which provides a browser based interface to Phpcron, allowing a user to remotely schedule programs and change Phpcron options, without having to deal with SSH, telnet, or arcane text editors.
