Fugu SSH is a Mac OS X graphical frontend to OpenSSH's Secure File Transfer application (SFTP). SFTP is similar to FTP, but, unlike FTP, the entire session is encrypted, meaning no passwords are sent in cleartext form, and it is thus much less vulnerable to third-party interception. Fugu allows you to take advantage of SFTP's security without having to sacrifice the ease of use found in a GUI. Fugu also includes support for SCP files transfers, and the ability to create secure tunnels through SSH.
GSTP is a binary file transfer protocol that focuses on security and anonymity. It tries to do right, where FTP does wrong, especially when it comes to firewall and user/password security. GSTP is based on TLS/SSL and the GSTP package includes a reference client (CLI), a QT GUI client (X11 and Win32), and a server for Unix platforms.
KindFTP is meant to be a complete implementation of the FTP protocol, as specified in RFC959. It provides a component that directly exposes the low-level protocol, and it supports the core protocol that is available on most Open Source FTP servers. It has untested support for ACCT, SMNT, REIN, TYPE, STRU, MODE, ALLO, and SITE command. It uses iContract to provide a full formal specification of all software, jUnit for all unit testing, and Ant as a build tool.
MultiLoad is a load balancer that redirects HTTP requests to pre-defined servers/locations. It gives the provider a way to balance the traffic and hides the real download location. It allows you to manage different version of each download. It is also a load balancing server extension. You can distribute files on some servers so that a downloaded file can be loaded form different servers. These servers can have different priorities to control the active traffic.
Kerberized Apps consists of TELNET, FTP, and RSH/RCP clients and servers packaged for VAS- enabled platforms. These tools give users the benefits of single sign-on for the more traditional remote access tools. It is derived from the apps component of Heimdal Kerberos and was formerly known as VAS Apps.
Weeble File Manager (WeebleFM) is a PHP file manager that operates through an FTP connection. It offers a wide variety of functionality and is similar to the Web-based file managers used by Tripod and Yahoo. WeebleFM gives Web-space providers the chance to offer their clients a quick and easy alternative to FTP, TELNET, and SSH.
