ArchView can open archive files online without downloading the whole archive, just like normal Web pages. It is very fast since it just fetches a small portion of the archive file from the server. It supports RAR and ZIP formats, and HTTP, FTP, and file: protocols. It can present XUL or HTML interface.
iLabs mobile toolbox is a set of libraries and demo applications for Java ME. It includes libraries for XMPP, feed reading, and highly functional and fast, but limited, rendering of HTML with some CSS. The OpenMiniBrowser demo application shows some of the potential of the HTML renderer. It is intended to be embedded in other applications, but may also be used as a standalone browser. The toolbox also includes "the Widger": a HTML and XML based application that allows much of the application logic to reside on a server, while the user interface is a true Java ME application and not just Web pages.
BomjPacket is a WAP-based Internet browser that is implemented as a server-side script. It is similar OperaMini but does not require installation. Users direct their WAP browser to a site hosting BomjPacket from which it is possible to request an arbitrary Web page. It converts complex HTML pages into a set of WML pages which most cellphones understand.
A 'honeypot' is designed to detect server-side attacks. In contrast, a 'honeyclient' is designed to detect client-side attacks. Specifically, a honeyclient is a dedicated host that drives specially instrumented applications to access remote servers to see if those servers are behaving in a malicious manner (by compromising the client). Honeyclients can proactively detect exploits against client applications without known signatures. This framework uses a client-server model with SOAP messaging as the primary communication method, and uses the free version of VMware Server as a means of virtualizing the client environment.
