OpenVRML is a VRML and X3D browser plug-in and C++ toolkit for incorporating VRML/X3D support into applications. It provides VRML97 and Classic VRML X3D parsers, a runtime, and an OpenGL renderer as C++ libraries. The renderer is fully separate from the runtime library so that users can also provide their own renderer. The OpenVRML browser is provided as a D-Bus service, and is embeddable in host applications using XEmbed. The distribution provides both a stand-alone host and a host that runs as a Mozilla plug-in.
Browsershots is a system for automatically capturing screenshots of Web pages in a variety of browsers and making these images available to the public. Its goal is to make it easier to test the compatibility of Web pages with a variety of browsers. The system distributes the work of making screenshots among community members. Anyone can add URLs to the job queue on a central server.
ASCIIMathML is a script that converts calculator-style ASCII math notation (and many LaTeX formulas) to Presentation MathML while your Web page loads. It works with HTML and XHTML files in Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape 7+ browsers, as well as in Internet Explorer 6 with MathPlayer. For example, the solutions for the equation 'ax^2+bx+c=0' are expressed in the HTML file as '(-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)', and display as nicely formatted MathML. The script can be easily used in wikiservers and blogs, as a rudimentary MathML editor (with instant preview), and to preview math formulas as they are typed into a Web page input area.
Flying Saucer is a pure Java XML/CSS 2 renderer whose aim is to provide spec-compliant CSS 2.1 rendering for any well-formed XML document. The current codebase can render to Java2D-based canvases (Swing panels), PDF via the iText library, and images. The library currently covers the greater part of the CSS 2.1 specification.
Surftree is an applet that displays data organized in a spreadsheet as an expandable tree on a Web page. The tree can be 9 levels deep and have over 65,000 nodes. Each node can display up to 4 independent Web pages or JPG images. It works with Java 1.0 and 1.1+ and in any Web server environment.
