PLOTICUS is a command line utility for creating bar, line, pie, boxplot, scatterplot, sweep, heatmap, vector, timeline, Venn diagrams, and other types of charts and plots. ploticus is good for automated or just-in-time graph generation. It handles date, time, and categorical data nicely, and has some basic statistical capabilities. It can output to GIF, PNG, SVG, SWF, JPEG, PostScript, EPS, and X11. You can use convenient preset options or create complex scripts with rich and detailed color and style operations.
pyNetConv is a Python library created to help with the conversion of some network file formats. It can read/write (and convert from/to) the following file formats: Pajek network files (.net), Pajek cluster files (.clu), Cytoscape network files (.sif), Cytoscape node attributes files, and GML files.
spsim is a simple yet realistic diffraction pattern simulator for single particle diffraction experiments, as those made possible with the advent of XFELs. It takes a PDB as input and outputs noise-free and realistic diffraction patterns according to the experimental conditions chosen by the user.
Wunderbar is a program which is able to identify mislabeled samples in genotype data when a few extra independent genotypes are available ("genetic barcoding"). Wunderbar calculates the likelihood that genotype mismatches have occurred by chance. It is capable of reliable and sensitive detection of sample mismatches and swaps even in the presence of numerous genotyping errors and in the presence of linkage disequibrilium between the individual genotypes. It only requires a few SNPs to work well.
xpress-analyzer is a suite of programs for analyzing functional genomics data. Programs are included for analysis of variance, multiple test correction for significance tests, a non- linear least square fitting algorithm (four parameters), general linear models, Kolmogorov-Smirnov distance, nearest neighbor algorithm, principal component analysis, and Student's t-test. It is intended to be used as a faster alternative to R on large data sets.
