Cactus is a general, modular, parallel environment for solving systems of partial differential equations. The code has been developed over many years by a large international collaboration of numerical relativity and computational science research groups and can be used to provide a portable platform for solving any system of partial differential equations.
sdd is a replacement for a program called 'dd'. sdd is much faster than dd in cases where input block size (ibs) is not equal to the output block size (obs). Statistics are more easily understood than those from 'dd'. Timing available, -time option will print transfer speed Timing & Statistics available at any time with SIGQUIT (^\) Can seek on input and output Fast null input Fast null output. Support for the RMT (Remote Tape Server) protocol makes remote I/O fast and easy.
Java Memory Profiler (JMP) uses the JVMPI interface to track objects and method times in the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). It uses a GTK+ interface to display statistics. The current instance count and the total amount of memory for each class is shown as is the total time spent in each method.
The IOR software is used for benchmarking parallel file systems using POSIX, MPIIO, or HDF5 interfaces. It can be used for testing the performance of parallel file systems using various interfaces and access patterns. IOR uses MPI for process synchronization. It also includes scripts for simulating the I/O behavior of a number of parallel applications.
