LinuxMCE is an add-on to Kubuntu that provides a complete whole-house media solution. It provides PVR and distributed media functions. It is stable, easy to use, and requires no knowledge of Linux and only basic computer skills. It allows you to set up a computer system that centralizes audio/video equipment, allowing you to access all media functions in other rooms with only thin clients. It supports home automation protocols including KNX, EIB, Z-Wave, DMX, EnOcean, and PLCBUS.
CloudUSB is an OS package that is intended to boot from a USB stick or other mutable removable media. Its purpose is to let you carry your whole computing environment in your pocket and let you use any computer available as if it were your own. It stores your personal data in encrypted form on the same medium as the OS and in an online storage space, thus granting you security and privacy. Local and remote data are synchronized, allowing work to continue even offline. CloudUSB currently uses Ubuntu as the OS and Dropbox as the online storage service.
The main function of the RT-Nagios gateway is to transform specific alerts from Nagios into a Help Desk ticket in Request Tracker to help your compliance efforts for incident responses (and other items) under ISO27001, SOX, and others. This provides better reporting, resource management, and more. Nagios configuration determines which incidents will generate tickets in RT. The URL of the ticket is inserted into the comment field of the corresponding Nagios service. The interface is bi-directional: when a user is "taking" charge of the ticket in RT, an acknowledgement for that service is sent to Nagios, stopping the alerts. Multiple alerts from a specific incident are "merged" within the original ticket.
