httplog is a replacement for Apache's 'rotatelogs' and Andrew Ford's 'chronolog'. It allows you to specify a logfile using strftime paramaters in the filename to act as a template. This means that the logs in your logfiles will also be sorted according to the filename. For example, if you specify a logfile of /var/log/http%Y%m%d.log, a new log file would be generated each day, with content for only that one day. It also supports compression of logfiles using gzip, and many other useful functions.

fsbackup is an incremental backup creation utility. It supports backup compression and encryption. Backups can be stored on the local file system, and a remote host (via SSH, or FTP). Some additional scripts allow backup SQL tables from PostgreSQL and MySQL, save system configuration files, and a list of installed packages. Backed-up files can be recovered, and system packages can be reinstalled.

Vobcopy copies DVD .vob files to hard disk (thanks to libdvdread), decrypting them on the way (if libdvdcss is installed) and merges them into 2 GB files (or larger) with the name extracted from the DVD. It checks for enough free space on the destination drive and compares the copied size to the size on DVD (in case something went wrong during the copying). It can also mirror a whole DVD video part and copy single files.
