Telemeta is a global audio archiving program which introduces useful and secure indexing methods to back up digitized audio files and metadata dictionaries. It is dedicated to backing up any digitized and documented sound from collections of vinyls, magnetic tapes, or audio CDs over a strong database in accordance with many standards. xfburn is easy to use burning software for the Xfce desktop environment (but will work with others). It uses libburn and libisofs as a backend. ISO files can be burned, data composition created, discs blanked, and DVD-RW media formatted and deformatted. Common burning software features not yet implemented are audio CD creation and disc copying.
MyBashBurn can burn data CDs, music CDs, and multisession CDs. It can burn and create ISO files. It can burn bin/cue files, and it can create MP3, Ogg, and FLAC files. It supports burning DVD images and data DVDs. MyBashBurn depends on cdrecord and other backend aplications. MyBashBurn is a fork of BashBurn, and it improves the user interface.
Lakai is a small set of tools (plus a link library) used to transfer sampler data (programs and samples) between a PC with a SCSI host adapter and an AKAI sampler (S1000, S2000, etc.). The tools allow you to easily create a full backup of the sampler's memory contents, and to perform a full restore of this data back to the sampler.
PostScript::CDCover generates a Postscript program that prints a CD cover and backlabel, with contents displayed as a tree of directories and files. The module ships with a stand-alone, ready-to-use script, pscdcover, that takes the directory tree of a CD-ROM as input and generates a cover from it. The output can be directly fed to a PostScript printer, but it is designed to be easily editable (should one wish to remove unwanted directory entries, for example).
make_cd_label is a script that helps create stickers for CDs. It is intended to be integrated with your backup scripts, but can also make stickers for audio CDs using CDDB and disc-cover. The output is an XML file that can be read into glabels and then edited or printed. It uses Memorex or Avery CD label stickers.
mp3cd-tools packs directories of MP3 files in a space-efficient way, so that they can be burnt to CD-Rs for playing on an MP3 CD player. It takes a list of directories containing MP3 files, arranged in order of favoritism, and puts as much music as possible onto each disc. It is not necessary to burn all of the planned CDs at the same time.
