Shilosh OS provides a secure and stable operating system based on a highly modified Linux kernel, with its own package system similar to BSD's "ports", BSD Init scripts. Compatible with x86 and Power PC, it is also 99% compatible with Windows 9x. It is easy to use and includes complete documentation in many languages.
The rcpod (Remote Controlled PIC of Doom) project is based on firmware for the PIC16C745 or PIC16C765 microcontrollers that executes I/O operations on behalf of the USB host. Included are libraries for C and Python programs to access the rcpod device, PCB layouts for rcpod devices, and example programs. It currently supports basic general-purpose I/O, pulse-width modulation, synchronous and asynchronous serial, and RS-485.
DSP implements several low-level digital signal processing (DSP) primitives accelerated, when available, by the Intel/AMD SIMD instruction sets MMX/SSE/SSE2. Portable C versions are provided for compatibility on non-IA32 machines. Routines are provided to compute 16-bit integer dot products (FIR filtering, correlation); sum-of-squares (signal energy measurement), and peak sample detection (for automatic gain control, etc.).
StonX is an Atari ST emulator for X. It support many Atari apps, and runs very fast even on low-end machines (sub P75). It currently runs the standard Atari screen modes as well as expanded full screen. It is very portable and has successfully been used on Alpha workstations, Silicon Graphics workstations, HP PA-RISC systems, RS/6000 with AIX, proprietary systems by Siemens, PCs with FreeBSD, Suns with Solaris and SunOS, and others.
