Textbender is a system of collaborative writing based on recombinant text. It implements a social Web medium with potential applications ranging from open art to open democracy. The underlying mechanism is evolutionary genetics: the text exists as a population of variants, one per author; authors swap fragments and arrangements of the text, peer to peer; and genes encode a traceable record of authorship throughout. Initial development is aimed at creative works, particularly at short verse and prose.
ASCIIweb is a text-to-HTML formatting system that uses the 'pre' tag to create ASCII art Web pages, either on the fly or for static retrieval. It has a simple and flexible module system that also allows you to integrate shell scripts and practically any text output into your Web pages. It will also parse and include live Apache-style directory listings into your pages, giving you a creative and sharp looking way to make files available to your users. It looks just as good in Lynx as it does in Firefox.
DMI Gallery is an editor-oriented image gallery application based on DMI. The editor just needs to FTP full-sized pictures into the directory and small and medium-sized thumbnails are automatically created. DMI Gallery provides a complete set of navigation controls, and allows designers to create templates in their favorite HTML editor to customize the look and feel of the image gallery.
AZR3-JACK is a port of the free VST plugin AZR-3. It is a tonewheel organ with drawbars, distortion and rotating speakers. The original was written by Rumpelrausch Täips. The organ has three sections, two polyphonic with 9 drawbars each and one monophonic bass section with 5 drawbars. The two polyphonic sections respond to events on MIDI channel 1 and 2, and an optional keyboard split function makes the bass section listen to the lower keys on channel 1. The three sections have separate sustain and percussion switches as well as separate volume controls, and the two polyphonic sections have separate vibrato settings. All three sections are mixed and sent through the distortion effect and the rotating speakers simulator, where the modulation wheel can be used to switch between fast and slow rotation, and the fast and slow rotation speeds themselves can be changed separately for the lower and upper frequencies.
