YAKS - Yet Another Khepera Simulator, is a Khepera simulator that uses prerecorded sensor values from a real robot in order to provide simulation speeds of 3600 times reality. It has support for the infrared sensors, light sensors, K213 vision turret, gripper arm, and more. The simulator comes with a GTK interface, a genetic algorithm (GA), and an artificial neural net (ANN).
PyWordNet is a Python interface to the WordNet database of word meanings and lexical relationships. It presents a concise interface to WordNet, that allows the user to type expressions such as N['dog'], hyponyms(N['dog'] ), and closure(ADJ['red'], SYNONYM) to query the database.
JFSOM (Java framework for self organising maps) is a Java framework which allows you to create, use and display self organising maps (som). The framework is able to create maps of any size and to train them with an existing training algorithm. If needed, you can also implement and use your own training algorithm. In addition, the trained soms can be displayed in different ways, like displaying the numbers of the weights or the average distances of them.
CLIPS is a productive development and delivery expert system tool which provides a complete environment for the construction of rule- and/or object-based expert systems. It is used by numerous users throughout the public and private community, including all NASA sites and branches of the military, numerous federal bureaus, government contractors, universities, and many companies.
ESKit is a portable C library that provides implementations of some self-adaptive evolution strategies. It features a simple API, comprehensive documentation, three state of the art self-adaptive evolution strategies (Isotropic CSA-ES, CMA-ES, and Separable CMA-ES), and can optionaly uses LAPACK. The implementation strictly follows the published papers introducing those evolution strategies and performs as in the published papers. A basic benchmark program is provided.
Ciao is a complete Prolog system subsuming ISO-Prolog with a novel modular design which allows both restricting and extending the language. Ciao extensions currently include feature terms (records), higher-order, functions, constraints, objects, persistent predicates, a good base for distributed execution (agents), and concurrency. Libraries also support WWW programming, sockets, and external interfaces (C, Java, TCL/Tk, relational databases, etc.). An Emacs-based environment, a stand-alone compiler, and a toplevel shell are also provided.
Weka is a collection of machine learning algorithms for solving real-world data mining problems. It is written in Java and runs on almost any platform. The algorithms can either be applied directly to a dataset or called from your own Java code. Weka is also well-suited for developing new machine learning schemes. The development version contains a GUI with visualization tools and direct database access.
ImSafe (Immune Security For your Enterprise) is a host-based intrusion detection tool. After a learning phase, it is able to detect changes in processes behavior, to detect buffer overflows, etc. It is implemented through a device driver (as a kernel patch) for the Linux kernel, but can also be run on other UNIX systems by using a "sensor" built upon strace.
