LinkGrammar-WN is a lexicon expansion for the Link Grammar Parser. The Link Grammar Parser is a syntactic parser of the English language that is capable of handling a wide variety of syntactic constructions and is considered quite robust. The LinkGrammar-WN project aims to import lexical information from WordNet in an effort to increase the size of the LGP lexicon. This project is of interest to anyone interested in NLP (natural language parsing) of English text.
The OMCSNet-WordNet project aims to improve the quality of the OMCSNet dataset by using automated processes to map WordNet synonym sets to OMCSNet concepts and import additional semantic linkage data from WordNet. It is based on OMCSNet 1.2, a semantic network and inference toolkit written in Python/Java. OMCSNet currently contains over 280,000 separate pieces of common sense information extracted from the raw OMCS dataset. This project is also based on WordNet, an online lexical reference system that in recent years has become a popular tool for AI researchers.
Grammidity is a Java based framework for evolutionary programming based on grammars. It can be used to evolve solutions to problems, or to evolve "objects" under user control. It has a limitless range of possible applications. This program has been tested on sample projects generating 3D objects and imitation plants.
Naiban is a complete standalone Java application and an Avalon/Keel framework classification service. It features Naive-Bayes based algorithms, JDBC backed persistance, and support for text and numerics. Naive Bayes learning classifiers have recently gained popularity in their application to the spam vs. ham problem. Naiban provides a learning classifier service to the Avalon/Keel framework, and comes complete with two text classifiers and a simple numeric classifier. It is easily extendable, and provides two persistance mechanisms for storing trained data.
AIBash is a project which aims to make Bash act more intelligently. It features typing error-correction and the ability to learn that certain file suffixes are associated with certain programs so that other programs are filtered out while pressing TAB. Other features are planned for the future.
Egg-fu is a simulated Artificial Intelligence IRC script for Eggdrop much like infobot, but with many more options and features, high configurability, automatic learning and interaction, multi-language support, and two main modes: the default SAI mode, and a define-bot mode, as well as any cross-breed thereof via config.
