Grammar Browser provides a simple-to-use graphical interface to the grammatical structure and relations of any text, as parsed by the Stanford Parser. It contains a grammatical relation editor to modify, import, and export grammatical relation definitions (tregex patterns and features).
breve is a 3D simulation environment designed for the simulation of decentralized systems and artificial life. While the concept is similar to existing packages such as Swarm and StarLogo, the implementation, which simulates both continuous time and continuous 3D space, is quite different. It also includes an experimental physics engine, allowing the user to implement real-time physical simulations. Simulations are written in a simple object-oriented language called "steve". Users define an agent's behavior by specifying how the agent interacts with the world at each timestep and how the agent interacts when it collides with other agents. The ultimate goal of the system is to allow decentralized simulations to be implemented quickly and easily while providing a sophisticated set of object classes and libraries to facilitate the construction of advanced artificial life simulations.
BinarySEC is an intelligent Web application firewall designed to suppress malicious traffic on Web sites and applications. Its artificial intelligence engine learns normal traffic and blocks malicious requests with very high accuracy. BinarySEC secures against a wide range of attacks, including cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection, command injection, PHP includes, parameter tampering, buffer overflow, directory traversal, attack obfuscation, and more. BinarySEC for Apache includes a graphical installer and a Web-based administration interface.
Amiba is a Gene Expression Programming (GEP) framework for Java. GEP is, like genetic algorithms, a branch of evolutionary computing. The framework separates the process of evolution from the process of interpretation of the chromosome, allowing the use of various schemes. For example, graphs may be used as terminals and graph operations as operators in the chromosome instead of the usual double precision numbers. It implements mutation, transposition, and recombination. Options and rates are easily configured through an XML file. A mechanism to load fitness cases in bulk is also provided.
The XEVM is an XML processing engine. It's a multi-threaded, Pub/Sub environment for dynamic programming on an event-driven state machine with TCP communications, tight fault free memory management, powerful set algebra, and a magical database. It is 100% C++ (25,000 LOC), with a thin porting layer; there are implementations for POSIX (Mac/Linux) and Win32. The XEVM is for processing XEPL (the Xepl Engine Programming Language).
PySWIP is a Python/SWI-Prolog bridge that enables you to query in prolog using SWI-Prolog in your Python programs. It includes both a SWI-Prolog foreign language interface and a utility class that makes it easy to query with SWI-Python. Since it uses SWI-Prolog as a shared library and ctypes to access it, it doesn't require compilation to be installed.
RegMAS (Regional Multi Agent Simulator) is a spatially explicit multi-agent model framework, designed for long-term simulations of effects of government policies over agricultural systems (e.g. farm sizes, incomes, land use). RegMAS uses a profit-maximization algorithm to derive farmers' behaviors. Using RegMAS, researchers can write regional-specific models, adapting the pool of activities and resources to their specific region.
GPalta is a genetic programming toolbox that aims for simplicity and speed. It features tree-based genetic programming, optional strong typing, a multithreaded GUI to control an evolution process, the ability to save evolutions to a file, to be continued at another time and place, and easy interoperability with Matlab.
