HALoGEN is an extremely powerful and easy to use general-purpose natural language generation system. It consists of a symbolic generator, a forest ranker, and some sample inputs. The symbolic generator includes the Sensus Ontology dictionary based on WordNet. The forest ranker includes a 250 million word ngram language model (unigram, bigram, and trigram) trained on the Wall Street Journal newspaper text. The symbolic generator is written in LISP and requires a Lisp interpreter.

HyperGraphDB is a general purpose, extensible, portable, distributed, embeddable data storage mechanism. Designed specifically for artificial intelligence and semantic web projects, it can also be used as an embedded object-oriented database for projects of all sizes. It is a Java-based product built on top of the Berkeley DB storage library. It can be used as a single in-process database bound to a location on the local disk or within a "cloud" of networked database instances communicating and sharing data in a P2P (peer-to-peer) fashion. Key features include storage of generalized hypergraphs, an open, extensible type system, basic query system and graph traversal algorithms, out-of-the-box support for Java object storage, thread-safe transactions, and a P2P framework for data distribution.

Ikaros is a framework for writing and running component-based simulators. It is used for simulations of brain areas and learning models, but is general enough to be easily used for any discrete-time simulations. A simulation consists of modules written in C or C++ that are connected in the simulator, with connections specified in an XML file. It runs on the console, and can optionally generate a dynamic browser-based UI with SVG for graphics generation. There are also socket-based hooks for adding a full GUI. The package contains a number of modules and complete documentation for working with the framework.

IkeWiki is a new kind of Wiki (a so-called "Semantic Wiki") developed by Salzburg Research that allows users to collaboratively annotate pages and links between pages with semantic annotations. Such annotations are useful because they give machines a certain amount of "understanding" of the content that goes beyond merely displaying the page. This information can then, for example, be used for context-specific presentation of pages, advanced querying, consistency verification, or drawing conclusions.

ImSafe (Immune Security For your Enterprise) is a host-based intrusion detection tool. After a learning phase, it is able to detect changes in processes behavior, to detect buffer overflows, etc. It is implemented through a device driver (as a kernel patch) for the Linux kernel, but can also be run on other UNIX systems by using a "sensor" built upon strace.

Inlab-Scheme is an independent implementation of the algorithmic language Scheme and conforms to the R4RS and the IEEE Standard 1178. In addition to the language core, Inlab-Scheme has support for image processing which allows the implementation of OCR and image recognition applications. Inlab-Scheme comes with two built in graphic file format converters which convert the PATIMG patent file format and the ST.33 patent file format to multipage TIFF without decompressing.
