imaverage uses the viewing frequency and viewing time from a spawned image viewer to build a dynamic database entry for images to gauge their relative preference for a given user. Once the entries have been created, imaverage will continue to show images randomly, with dynamic preference weights. On average, your favorite images should show up most frequently.
PED is a dialogue management system that uses a probabilistic nested belief model to choose dialogue strategies. The dialogue system designer need only supply a set of plan rules to PED as a dialogue grammar with preconditions. Using this grammar, PED constructs game trees (like the one below) to represent the outcomes of the dialogue, so that a dialogue strategy can be chosen for the current turn in the dialogue. PED automatically maintains a belief model by a belief revision process that uses the observed acts in the dialogue. The game tree is evaluated in the context of this belief model. PED is efficient because it uses probabilistic estimates of belief rather than a plain logical belief model.
The Noble Ape Simulation is a collection of a number of autonomous simulation components including a landscape simulation, biological simulation, weather simulation, sentient creature (Noble Ape) simulation, and a simple intelligent-agent scripting language (ApeScript). Noble Ape also contains a social simulation where the Noble Apes can be tracked in terms of social groups and also over many generations to explain social phenomenon to users looking to study this kind of interaction. It has been in development for more than a fifteen years.

Lush is a Lisp dialect with extensions for object-oriented and array-oriented programming. It is intended as a programming environment for prototyping numerically intensive applications. Kandid is a system to evolve graphics. Graphics, in Kandid, are not drawn by hand. Instead, new forms can be found using genetic algorithms. To achieve this aim Kandid simulates evolution using sexual reproduction and mutation. But there is no fitness function inside the program. Only the user can decide what images are interesting. Populations and genes can be stored in XML format. Image calculation is based on Lisp-like expressions, Lindenmayer Systems, Iterated Function Systems, Linear Cellular Automata, Voroni diagrams, and layered textures or isosurfaces rendered by the Persistence of Vision raytracer.
