VXL is a set of portable C++ libraries designed for computer vision research and implementation. Numerics, imaging, and geometry are provided by stand-alone core libraries, with easy to use APIs and sophisticated processing algorithms. Other libraries provide stereo, video, structure from motion, probability modeling, GUI design, classification, robust estimation, feature tracking, topology, 3d imaging, and much more. It is written and used by an international team from academia and industry.
PCP (Pattern Classification Program) is a machine learning program for supervised classification of patterns. It runs in interactive and batch modes, and implements the following machine learning algorithms and methods: k-means clustering, Fisher's linear discriminant, dimension reduction using Singular Value Decomposition, Principal Component Analysis, feature subset selection, Bayes error estimation, parametric classifiers (linear and quadratic), pseudo-inverse linear discriminant, k-Nearest Neighbor method, neural networks, Support Vector Machine algorithm (SVM), model selection for SVM, cross-validation, and bagging (committee) classification.
MARF is a general cross-platform framework with a collection of algorithms for audio (voice, speech, and sound) and natural language text analysis and recognition, along with sample applications (identification, NLP, etc.) of its use. MARF can run distributed over the network (CORBA, Java RMI, and Java XML-RPC Web Services) and may act as a library in applications or be used as a source for learning and extension.
dysii is a C++ library for distributed probabilistic inference and learning in large-scale dynamical systems. It provides methods such as the Kalman, unscented Kalman, and particle filters and smoothers, as well as useful classes such as common probability distributions and stochastic processes.
Howie is an artificial intelligence agent with a natural language interface (a "chatterbot"). It is designed to be simple to install, configure, and extend. The emphasis is less on simulating a human conversation, and more on providing a "virtual assistant" which provides useful services to visitors through a natural, conversational interface.
The Kolmogorov project provides tools for machine perception and tutorials for machine learning, machine perception, and statistics. It supports fast face detection in images and information on Hidden Markov models, Gabor filters, Multivariate Logistic Regression, and Stochastic Differential Equations. It includes MPISearch, a library for detecting objects in images very quickly (real-time in some cases).
Experience-Based Language Acquisition (EBLA) is an open computational framework for visual perception and grounded language acquisition. It can "watch" a series of short videos and acquire a simple language of nouns and verbs corresponding to the objects and object-object relations in those videos. Upon acquiring this protolanguage, it can perform basic scene analysis to generate descriptions of novel videos. While there have been several systems capable of learning object or event labels for videos, this is the first known system to acquire both nouns and verbs using a grounded computer vision system.
YProlog is a pocket Prolog engine written in 100% Java. It provides a number of fast and easy Java-Prolog interfacing functions that enables the Prolog database to be used like an SQL-type database. It has fast consult and retract operations, can "serialize" database contents into text, and can easily load and store tables or contents of Java objects. It is based on Jean Vaucher's XProlog.
genCore is a part of GAF (Genetic Algorithms Framework), which is a cross-platform framework for using Genetic Algorithms for solutions. It is written in Java and uses convenient plug-in features for every phase in the genetic development, while maintaining an easy-to-use API for easy integration into applications. The genCore module is the heart of GAF, as it is the engine for the GA itself.
