Proper nouns is a PHP class that can extract proper nouns from texts. It takes a text string and can detect which words may be proper nouns of people or other entities. It uses some heuristics like the capitalization of the first letter of a word, the presence of a person's title preceding the nouns, etc. The class may consider consecutive proper names as a single proper name. The class assumes English by default but may be configured to work with other idioms.
Bayesian Spam Filter is a class that can be used to detect spam in text messages using Bayesian techniques. It analyzes the text in terms of n-grams in a way that is idiom independent. It can be trained to progressively distinguish what is spam and what is not spam by detecting patterns in training samples. Training data is stored in a MySQL database.
OntoWiki is a semantic collaboration platform for the development of Semantic Web knowledge bases. OntoWiki enables large distributed communities to collaborate on a semantic level, by allowing users to contribute small structured knowledge pieces, which stitched together may result in comprehensive knowlegde bases. Powl is Web-based ontology authoring and management solution for the Semantic Web. Both expose an extensive API for PHP programmers.
Fast Artificial Neural Network Library is a neural network library that implements multilayer artificial neural networks in C with support for both fully connected and sparsely connected networks. Cross-platform execution in both fixed and floating point are supported. It includes a framework for easy handling of training data sets. It is easy to use, versatile, well documented, and fast. C++, Perl, PHP, .NET, Python, Delphi, Octave, Pure Data, and Mathematica bindings are available. A reference manual accompanies the library with examples and recommendations on how to use the library. A graphical user interface is also available for the library.
Mindmeld is an enterprise-capable knowledge sharing system designed for any Web community that needs to capture and share information. It is unique in that the knowledge base grows smarter every time it's used. It incorporates terms used in each search into a contextual map of the answer itself, continually improving its ability to derive contextual information from a given search. The system learns how people typically search for an answer by identifying which terms are most valuable in any specific context.
Care2x (formerly Care 2002) is software for hospitals and health care organizations. It is designed to integrate the different information systems existing in these organizations into a single efficient system. It solves the problems inherent in a network of multiple programs that are incompatible with each other. It can integrate almost any type of services, systems, departments, clinics, processes, data, or communication that exist in a hospital. Its design can even handle non-medical services or functions like security or maintenance. All of its functions can be accessed with a Web browser, and all program modules are processed on the server side.
