UDIG (User-friendly Desktop Internet GIS) is a spatial data viewer and editor with emphasis on the OpenGIS standards for Internet GIS, the Web Map Server and Web Feature Server standards. It provides a common platform for building spatial applications with open source components.
MidCOM, the Midgard Components Framework, is an MVC framework for the Midgard persistent storage platform. It provides mechanisms for building a Web site using components without much need for writing code to glue all this together. The administration site gets built automatically by using those components. Goodies like a caching engine and sub-requests make site building even easier.
The mission of the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) project is to create and maintain software libraries that provide a predictable and consistent interface to underlying platform- specific implementations. The primary goal is to provide an API to which software developers may code and be assured of predictable if not identical behaviour regardless of the platform on which their software is built, relieving them of the need to code special-case conditions to work around or take advantage of platform-specific deficiencies or features.
crypt_blowfish is an efficient implementation of a modern password hashing algorithm, based on the Blowfish block cipher, provided via the crypt(3) and a reentrant interface. It is compatible with bcrypt as used in OpenBSD. It is adaptable to future processor performance improvements, allowing you to arbitrarily increase the processing cost of checking a password while still maintaining compatibility with your older password hashes. The hashes it produces are several orders of magnitude stronger than traditional Unix DES-based or FreeBSD-style MD5-based hashes.
